1975.01-1976.12 In January 1975, Hanxing Metallurgical Mine Construction Headquarters established the Wu 'an Design Team, which was the predecessor of the Design Institute. 

1976.12-1979.03 In December 1976, Hanxing Metallurgical and Mining Construction Design and Research Institute (known as "Handan Institute" in the industry) was established in Handan City, Hebei Province, directly under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, and some personnel were transferred from Anshan Design Institute, Hubei and other places. The design projects mainly focused on mining, mineral processing, and civil engineering. The total number of employees is 176.

 1979.03-1993.02 In March 1979, Dean Wang Shujie, who graduated from Tsinghua University, recognized the huge vacancy in the enterprise-level power market and led a group of young comrades to travel around and tackle technical problems. In March 1982, the first power design project was implemented. In June 1983, the development of a new generation of circulating fluidized bed boilers was jointly launched with China Coal Academy and Jinan Boiler Factory. In 1988, it was successfully put into operation at Shandong Mingshui Thermal Power Plant, and was later reported by CCTV. Since then, small and medium-sized thermal power generation business has become the main business. In 1989, it opened up the EPC general contracting business for mining projects. 

1993.02-1999.12 In February 1993, the company changed its name to China North China Metallurgical Construction Research Institute, which was affiliated to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. In July 1993, it was promoted to a Class A design institute with a total of 253 employees. During the period, the company added Class B qualifications for thermal power generation (including new energy), Class B qualifications for municipal heating, and Class A qualifications for engineering consulting (thermal power, steel, metallurgical mines, municipal public works-gas heating). 

1999.12-2011.02 On December 8, 1999, the company was restructured and changed its name to Handan Huabei Metallurgical Engineering Design Co., Ltd., affiliated to China Huamei and China Metallurgical Corporation. It is a Class A design unit with a total of 243 employees. In 2007, it opened the power engineering EPC general contracting business, and in 2008, the company added pressure pipe design qualifications. 

From February 2011.02 to May 2014.05, the company strategically relocated to Binhai New District, Tianjin City. It is affiliated to China Huayi and China Metallurgical, a Class A design unit with a total of 230 employees. 

2014.06-2020.02 In June 2014, the company changed its name to Tianjin Huaye Engineering Design Co., Ltd. As the company moved to Tianjin and changed its name,"Huaye Institute" was gradually used as a customary name in the industry. It is affiliated to China Huaye, China Metallurgical, and China Minmetals. Class A design units, with a total of more than 240 employees. 

2020.02-2022.02 China Huaye adjusted its strategy, optimized and integrated the three subsidiaries of Design Company, Tianjin Sanjian, and Tianjin Industrial Installation, established Tianjin Headquarters, and with the design company as the lead unit, developed and contracted the headquarters project general contracting business. Since then, the design company has entered a new stage of high-quality and high-tech development. 

2022.02-Today, China Huaye Tianjin Branch has been established (the design company is still an independent legal person). With the design company as the lead unit, the Tianjin Branch integrates, optimizes and leads all production factors of the Tianjin Branch, consolidates and expands the general engineering contracting market, and the Tianjin Branch has embarked on a new journey of innovation and development with a new attitude.
